Held on a beautiful afternoon at the Turner Centre, our community came together to celebrate Diwali in true Bollywood style — and what an incredible celebration it was!

A completely sold-out event and a huge success, filled with colour, joy, dance, and the spirit of togetherness.

The afternoon featured a vibrant live dance performance by Abhinayaa India Dance Academy, taking us on a journey through India through the lens of Bollywood.

Guests enjoyed a mouth-watering selection of Indian street snacks by Turmeric Kerikeri — from crispy samosas and onion bhajis to sweet treats like gulab jamun and jalebi, perfectly paired with mango lassi and masala chai. 

 The festivities continued with stunning henna art by Hennapriya by Vaanipriya and a fun Bollywood-style photo booth, capturing smiles and sparkle throughout the afternoon.

We extend our sincere thanks to everyone who came together to celebrate love, light, and culture. The Northland Indian Association proudly sponsored the performances that brought this vibrant Diwali event to life.
